Planning your trip
Flying to Avoriaz / Transfers
You can get a 5% discount for ski-lifts.com transfers by booking via this link.
When you book you may be asked which terminal in Geneva airport you are using. If your ticket does not specify a terminal then you should assume it's Terminal 1. Terminal 2 is rarely used, but has been used by FlyBe recently so it is worth checking.
Your destination is 'Avoriaz station' (the arrival area). Do not select 'Prodains' as this will drop you at the bottom of the mountain at the Prodains Telepherique which does not run at night. We do not recommend using 'Alpy Bus' as it only drops at Prodains and not at Avoriaz itself. Also do not choose 'Amara' as this is an area just outside the resort.
If you are asked for the address of the apartment use Residence Aster
Getting To Avoriaz
If you are driving to Avoriaz you will need to park the car at either the underground or outdoor car parks. The resort is car free which is part of its unique charm. We highly recommend that you prebook if you want to park in the underground car park. Parking information and pre-booking can be found on the Avoriaz Car Park website
: No reservation .
Avoriaz operate a discount off the full portes du soleil ski passes for early purchase. All you need to do is book on line before the season starts. The best discount is available before the end of September.
We have arranged a 40% discount at Mir Famose which is just opposite the lift down to the resort centre. You can see their range of equipment on the Ski Set website
You may be able to get an equivalent discount on line but if not just let me know what you need together with height / weight / shoe size and I will reserve with the owner of the shop and you pay in the resort when you arrive.
Ski Lessons / Guides
We recommend the Avoriaz Alpine Ski School - small class sizes and instruction in native or fluent English - mention skiavoriaz.co.uk and receive a 5% discount on lessons.
The Avoriaz Alpine Ski School offer limited availability for children's lessons so you may want to consider the Village des Enfants instead.
